Background Section: About Jiree Riding Hi, I’m Jiree Riding, and running is more than just a passion for me—it's a journey I've lived and breathed. My story begins in Ethiopia, where my twin brother and I were born. In 2004, when we were just six years old, we were adopted and brought to the United States. Like many kids, soccer was our first love, and we dedicated 13 years to playing it. However, everything changed when our high school track coach saw something in us. After spending two hours at our house, he finally convinced us to give running a shot. It wasn’t easy, especially leaving behind the sport we’d played for so long, but that decision transformed our lives. We won the state championship in our first year, and from there, our success grew, helping our track team win state twice. Running became more than just a sport; it became a part of who we are. Being from Ethiopia, a country known for producing some of the world’s greatest runners, we felt a deep connection to this new path. Eventually, I went on to compete as a Division 1 athlete at Southern Utah University, specializing in the 3k, 5k, and 10k events. But I’m not just a coach—I’ve been in your footsteps. I know the challenges, the hard work, and the perseverance it takes to achieve greatness. That’s why I created RunMastery—to guide and support runners at every stage, whether you're just starting out, looking to push your limits, or even a coach seeking to refine your training methods. I’m here to share what I’ve learned from my own journey to help you succeed in yours.
